![]() ![]() ![]() If the county capital is a city or temple then the realm is a republic or theocracy respectively. One of the holdings in each county (normally a castle) is the capital and is always held by the count of that county. Baronies are almost never independent and are usually the vassal of the county where the holding is located. The ruler of a barony is titled Baron (male), Baroness (female), or an equivalent cultural title variant. A barony consists of a single holding and may be a castle, a city or a temple. Characters whose realm has no holding of higher rank than a barony is unplayable. ![]()
